Bloggers had a fun site GizmoSlip destructive test. The
subject of the research are the smartphones and compare the strength of glass,
protects the screen Samsung Galaxy S4, iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S III.
On the newest device Galaxy S4 glass panel installed

it resistant to damage. The iPhone 5 and the Galaxy S III uses the same type of
surface protective Gorilla Glass 2. In addition to the strength of the glass,
bloggers have tested how well each of the smartphone confronts the contact with
the concrete pavement under the influence of gravity.
Despite the fact that the tests for resistance to damage
from falling - a relatively rare genre because of its harmful for the further
operation of mobile devices, bloggers have formed some rules. Usually phones
dropping out of the three classic positions from the level of his hip pocket,
the breast and from the ear. GizmoSlip decided not to adhere to this classic circuit,
and go the other way. Smartphones dropped from a height of 1.2 meters, but on
different parts: the first on the back cover, and then at an angle, and finally
- on the mobile device screen. After each drop estimated damage.
The first test - landing on the concrete situation in the
screen up - showed that all three phones are relatively well to cope with the
load. iPhone 5 was the most tenacious in this test. In Korean smartphones,

camera.
The second test was more fruitful in terms of damage: a
plastic shell Galaxy S4 could not stand the load and landing on a corner led to
a disconnection of the body in contact with the concrete. IPhone 5 metal suit
again rose to the occasion and the unit received virtually no damage. In this
test, the display Galaxy S III was covered with cracks.
The third test "hardware benchmark" - falling on
the screen - proved disastrous for all three smartphones. Each of them,
including the fourth galaxy with glass Gorilla Glass 3, and the creation of engineers Apple, the display is cracked, even though the screen and touchpad
were in working order.
No third-party assessments required - everyone knows which
one is more reliable vehicles. Although one conclusion yet to do is: despite
the fortress design of modern smartphones, due to a fall on the screen, they
can easily get significant damage. With the increase in diagonal displays up to
4-5 inches, they were the most vulnerable component of a mobile device.
