Firefox OS smartphones will be hit in June

According to the executive director of the Mozilla Gary Kovacs made ​​during the conference D: Dive Into Mobile, the operating system Firefox OS  will hit the market in June 2013.
 
Mobile platform open-source Firefox OS will debut in five countries: Brazil, Venezuela, Spain, Poland and Portugal. Already in June, users will be able to get the first phones on it. Until the end of the year the number of countries where you can buy smartphones running Firefox OS, will increase to eleven, Kovacs said, but added that the U.S. smart phones will be delivered only in 2014. Total, the list includes 18 operators from around the world.

In contrast to the mobile operating systems iOS and Android, Firefox OS uses an open standard HTML5. This means that applications for Firefox OS will be able to create all who are familiar with the programming for the web. "Operating system" will work on low-power devices. Mozilla requires apparatus having at least a single-core processor with a frequency of 800 MHz, 256 MB RAM and a screen with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. Among the first Firefox OS smartphones will start to let the company Alcatel, Huawei, LG and ZTE.

Who is in the front in the mobile arena and Android iOS, the third-place battle is between Windows Phone and BlackBerry 10. For the moment, there are other alternative approach to the platform, including Ubuntu Touch, Tizen, Open webOS and Sailfish.
