Apple received a patent for a "digital handshake" - a new technology to connect two iPhone

Apple has received a patent for a technology that describes a new way to connect two mobile devices. Technology called Digital Handshake («Digital Handshake")provides data transfer from one to the other iGadget using the built-in camera device. Application has been made to the Office of patents and trademarks in the United States in 2011.

Patent number 8,429,407 describes a technology sharing information, such as contacts, text documents, videos or music, through the generation of a special code that is displayed as an image on the display device.

In particular, when the two phones iPhone among themselves to exchange contacts from the address book, one of them must display the unique identifier, and the second - to consider it. Such a method of reacting, in contrast to Bluetooth or Wi-Fi Direct, more secure, and the ID-specific keys can be displayed on an invisible fluorescent coating. As planned by Apple, the code can even be hidden in a black frame iPhone or iPad.

Thus, if the lens of one iOS-device seemed different, it can send it with the necessary data to be transmitted. On the second gadget need only confirm receipt of the information.

Apple describes several possible applications of the "digital handshake", starting from the exchange of data in social networks, and the last document collaboration and multi-user games.
