By 2015, the iPad finally kill netbooks

Another study claims that, given the growing interest in the iPad and other tablets, the demand for cheap, low-powered netbooks declined sharply. According to the research firm forecasts IHS iSuppli devices of this class will be gone by 2015.

In the new research company IHS iSuppli has come to the conclusion that in two years netbooks finally leave the market. As a major killer of this class of products called analysts iPad, although it can be added and other tablets costing less than $ 300, which in many cases compete with netbooks.

If last year was released a little more than 14 million netbooks this year the volume of supply will be reduced to 3.97 million units. The highlight of the life cycle of the netbook was in 2010, when it sold more than 32 million such products. In 2014, the market will be just 264,000 netbooks, and in 2015 they will no longer be present in the primary market at all.

According to analysts, a number of manufacturers continue to produce netbooks for a short time to perform contractual obligations to its customers.

What killed the same netbook? First, PC manufacturers started making laptops better quality for less money, which created serious competition for netbooks. Secondly, netbooks are not the most profitable commodity: after paying a license for Microsoft's Windows manufacturers do not make money on these cheap computers. Finally, with the emergence of the market for such devices as the iPad, people have lost all interest in the portable laptops for $400.
