iPhone is the most popular device among American teenagers.
Every second of them (48%) use a phone from Apple, and 62% intend to buy an
iPhone in the future. This is stated in the latest study by Piper Jeffrey's.
It is noteworthy that, compared with the study in 2012, the
number of young people are "apple" smartphone increased by 8%, while
the number of people willing to buy it has not changed. The survey involved
1,600 adolescents from families with higher income and 3600 - from families
with average incomes.
According to research by Piper Jeffrey's, the future of the
device is very likely to be a smartphone (91%) rather than a regular cell phone
(9%). The most popular among teens operating system for mobile devices is iOS
(59%), Android scored only 21% in the third place users who do not care what OS
is installed on the device (11%). 5% believe Windows Phone the best choice, 2%
- BlackBerry, as many will choose the "other OS".
Analysts also noted an increase in popularity of tablets,
which owns 51% of respondents compared to 44% last year, while the share of
iPad decreased slightly - from 72 to 68%.
