The web is filling up with reports from users who have found
their Playstation 3 blocked after you upgrade the firmware 4.45 .
It seems that the unlucky users have experienced a brick the
console after running the update of the operating system . Many have tried to
boot the system after the upgrade, but without finding any positive result.
Furthermore it has been attempted the recovery operation of the original file
system but the maneuver has turned only in a loss of time.
Ironically the update 4.45 would ensure greater stability of
the operating system, as well as add some notifications Achievements.
We are waiting for the official character of the situation
by Sony. Meanwhile we recommend that you avoid updating your Playstation 3 ,
although some users have confirmed or network that you have already
performed the procedure without encountering any problems.

The problem seems to occur only in the case where the user
has replaced the original hard disk. Obviously it's a hypothesis, therefore
renew our council not to upgrade until further notice.
