Yahoo gives each user a new Flickr to 1 TB

Yahoo announced a major upgrade of photo-sharing site Flickr. New Flickr, according to the company, the solution corresponding to the 21st century, with a new design, new pricing and a new Android-app to work on smartphones and tablets.

Flickr completely updated the look by changing the small icons with the metadata for full-size image, as well as the possibility of obtaining additional information about the photographs. However, the mode of Flickr Lightbox, when the frame around the image is removed and the image is shown on a bigger level, remained.

On the title page of the updated service, as before, are displayed the most interesting (in the opinion of the moderators), photographs, and personal section on page shows pictures of friends. Among other things, the updated Flickr mode appeared Explore, which is designed for directory browsing photos. The new version of Yahoo added updated features for collections and sorting.

At the same time the company introduced a new pricing model and project work. The old models were two areas: free and Pro. The first was limited to paltry 300 MB and two videos per month. For $ 25 a year you can get an unlimited number of photos and videos in a month, and work without advertising.

The new version of Flickr is much more liberal free accounts: users get 1TB of space and can upload an unlimited number of photos and videos (videos are limited to 3 minutes and the quality of 1080p). Two paid accounts: for $ 50 a year, the company does not change anything, but removes the ads and for $ 500 per year increases the space of up to 2 terabytes.
