HTC One Google Edition: HTC clarifies some details about the hardware and software features

HTC One Google Edition , officially unveiled in the day today, is different than the version currently on the market due to the absence of software for customizing HTC, including the Sense UI 5.0. The operating system is Android 4.2.2 version in stock for direct updates from Google .

HTC , after the presentation of the device, he answered a series of questions about the features supported by the version of Google Edition. More in detail, from its clarifying intervention revealed the following points:

  • The UI of the camera will be the stock Android system
  • The smartphone will give up features
  • The shots will be comparable to those of the models with Sense as regards the quality
  • The IR transmitter will be disabled, given that it is a terminal with Android version in stock
  • The terminal will benefit from Beats Audio hardware (read amplified double bass), but there will be an indicator of how Beats Audio software activation
  • The configuration of the soft touch keys will be the same as the original HTC One. The HTC logo turned into a third capacitive key will not fit in the standard
  • A clarification appreciated, though predictable, since it is a terminal that uses Android without any kind of customization made by the manufacturer.
Obviously, it is not unlikely that the community of independent developers will be able to integrate the software features of HTC One with Sense 5.0, which, for the moment, HTC One Google Edition will have to give.
