Although the spotlight is focused on all Windows 8.1 Preview
and the new features introduced by Microsoft , the Redmond company has yet to come to terms with
the old and now immortal Windows XP . Statistics for the last month in fact
reveal that the "mature" Operating System, now twelve years old, he
lost only a small percentage of users, going from 37.74 to 37.17%.
On many occasions we have discussed the reasons for this
phenomenon, different according to the type of user, for companies on many
occasions it comes to economic factors, the end-user, especially a practical
matter. Apart from this, however, Windows XP is undoubtedly an obsolete
software and an upgrade to at least Windows 7 would be useful for all,
especially in terms of safety as well as the compatibility with the latest
technology.
As you know, however, Microsoft has already set the date of
final retirement for XP, April 8, 2014, after this date the company will no longer
provide any support and above all the companies will be forced to make massive
upgrade. End users instead will be less affected and we think that an important
part will remain long with the much-loved operating system.
